hey what is going on guys welcome back to the channel I hope everybody is having a wonderful Sunday in today's video we're going to be talking about how to style the band's skate highs the ban skate high is a great shoe to have in your collection and it's a great shoe that you can wear all year round whether it's in the summer fall or winter we're going to be going over how to lace these shoes what types of jeans to wear with them what types of shorts to wear with them what types of shirts to wear with them and if it's in the fall and wintertime what to wear in the fall and winter time as well so I'm going to be covering everything so without further review guys let's jump into the video all right guys so first things first I'm going to show you the three different types of lacing that I like to wear with a band skate high for the first style lacing the laces are very open and then the shoe isn't tied tight at all then up at the top the laces are not tied they're just hanging out and this is just for a more relaxed fit of the shoe I also really like the look of this lacing the next style of lacing is very similar to the last one what you're going to do is only two holes at the top and the time the laces up and this is a very relaxed fit and also reveals a lot of the tongue this is also my favorite way to lace the dance chaos so the last way to lace the shoe is just with the laces pulled very tight almost lacing it all the way to the top and they're just tying it off and you have big droopy loose laces I like this look but it's not my favorite alright guys so next up I'm going to show you how to wear denim with a band skate hides and how to style the denim while wearing the band skate highs so for the first denim choice I'm wearing a denim right here from H&M it's a very slim fitting down now I'm just wearing them tucked into this shoe another great look when you're wearing regular denim like this with a slim fit is the pin over your Jean and then pull them up a little bit and wear the pin roll revealing your stock and doing this with black jeans I recommend going with black socks also with this look of pivotal genes if you're really feeling it you can go ahead and wear some crazy style socks right here I have some crazy happy socks with a bunch of different colors in them and if you want to rock that look you can also do that so right here I have a pair a zipper generally minimal and I really like pairing Vance gate highs with zipper setup you either wear it with the zipper denim zips all the way down or you can unzip it a little bit and let the front of the denim tuck into the shoe while the back of the denim hangs out at you and I think it gives for a very clean [Music] all right guys now I'll show you what shorts to wear in the summer time is it a little bit on the hotter side and you don't want to wear jeans I'll show you what shorts to wear with the vans gate hi so the first type of shorts I recommend to wear was advanced gait high is slight shorts right here I have camel sweat shorts from your cool air and I paired with it a basketball jersey and I think all around this is a very clean look another type of shore you can pair with the vamp gait high are distressed jean shorts right here I have jean shorts from hmm also along with that I paired it with a Jersey tank top all righty guys so the next thing we're going to get into is what type of shirts to wear with the band skate highs so the t-shirts I would pair with Vance gate highs I would go for a graphic t-shirt right here I had a shovel graphic t-shirt a good website to get graphic t-shirts would be from Urban Outfitters in the next clip right here I'm wearing a crashing Slayer tee that I got from Urban Outfitters paired with a layering tank top and I think this is a very clean look to wear with bands ski highs hi guys and then for like the fall winter time when it's kind of cold outside I like to just keep it simple and pair my damn ski highs with a pair of jeans and then I'll just are all on a layering shirt with a champion hoodie right here what I'm wearing is a mid crew and champion collaboration so yeah guys that's what I'd like to do to style my advanced ski hunt already guys I hope you enjoyed the video if you're new here make sure you go ahead and hit that subscribe button also go ahead and smack that like button leave me a comment down below on how you like to wear your van skate eyes and as always guys I will see you on the next one [Music]

yo what is up YouTube it's your boy six your kicks back at it with yet another video are you talk are you calling me tallest and I wanted to thank you guys so much for hundred subscribers I know it's nothing compared to all the bigger youtubers that you guys watch but it really means a lot to me and if this is your first time watching one of my videos like I said before this is 60 kicks where you're below average sneakerheads talks about more than just your average sneakers so today's video is a little different it's not just about sneak releases or sneakers on sale it's actually how to lace a pair of Van Schaick highs and how to wear so let's jump into it so I'll be showing you guys how to lace up your van ski highs kind of like this and this style is based off another video that I watched by Ryan Maggie's on how to wear vans gait hats so let's get into step one so step one is obviously to unlace your current laces on your ski highs just like that and this is just another tip I have when it comes to lacing up ski highs you want to fill the inside up with anything just because you don't want to lace it up and it'll be too tight and look weird so what I have is just socks so you're gonna fill up one just fold it put it in fill up the toe box right here another one and just make sure that when you're filling it up you're not filling it up too much where it looks too bulky so I have another pair put that in the back and one more pair put that on the top just like that so then you put the tongue under kind of press it down just to for me a little bit and you don't have to do this this is just my advice so basically you want to start off with the laces of course and instead of going across from the outside of the eyelid to the other outside just like this you want to put one end from this side and just keep it there for now and then follow the laces all the way through so it keeps it nice and flat or straight you want to put the other end through the other outside of the eyelid just like that so that when you pull these two want to make it pretty even pull them up and they become just like this without any turns or Christmas so you want to pull that and not make it too tight but tight enough and make sure that these two laces are easy and this is just what I do you can do it differently if you want but I always start with the inside lace so I would do the inside lace first so you go inside and you go to the next I lead and instead of doing that eyelid just like you did this one you're actually going to go from the inside out just like that and you see how to twist it right here just pull it back through twist it and pull twist it and pull just like that and you keep doing that all the way until the third to the last ball all right and then when you get to the third to the last one Ryan Magon doesn't use this little lace loop right here but I guess I'll try just to see how it looks and compare it to this one so right here is where it gets a little different you're not going to go up to the next eyelid you're actually going to go through the same eyelid and you do the same thing with the other leaf I know why you're mad why why and once you get to here then you go up one but you only go up you don't go across up one you go up one on the same side so if you're using the left lace you would go through the left side again just kind of like this you do the same thing to the other side like and he doesn't do it exactly like this but this is just what I did personally you go through the same side are the same eyelid again so you go around one more time and we go through the same eyelid so right now you can see that the laces are too long where they're hitting the bottom so what you want to do is you want to go back to the last loop that you did when you went around and bring it up to however long you want the laces so in his video he has the laces to maybe kind of like around here so you want that extra loop right there and you want to do the same thing to the other side just to make it even and you have two of these little loops extra you're just going to tuck them behind the tongue and that's pretty much how you lace up the skate eyes to make it look like how Ryan maghen did this time I use the little lace lock or the lace loop in the tongue verses this side you guys can choose what you want now onto the second question of the video how to wear your skate hat so a whole bunch of people on the internet are asking how to wear van ski highs and personally I wear them with just jeans or any kind of pants I don't really like them with shorts but that's just a personal preference so I'll be showing you guys how they look with a pair of skinny jeans these are just Levi's 5:1 nose pretty simple dark and also be showing you what it looks like when you wear jeans that are too baggy for the shoes and it kind of just drape over the shoes which I personally don't like but again it's all preference so let's get into it so this is how it look if you cuff your pair of jeans and I think it looks really nice but I personally don't wear it this way I actually wear it where the jeans just go around the shoe just the top of the shoe though kind of like this and notice how I'm not showing the top of my outfits just because these shoes are so simple and clean that you can wear it with pretty much any top any color and it'll match and this is what I mean when I said that the jeans go over the shoe kind of taking away from the silhouette itself this is what ok look but I personally don't like it so I hope [Music] I'm subletting today's video I'm gonna be showing you three different ways of how to let your bands get highs so it's just pretty different way so I'm gonna do it loosely fat shoelace and they're like the cars going to look before getting to the video though if you are new to my channel make sure source code below Panther burns getting their vacations when it opens every single day went with the leave a thumbs up to die forever geography freeways that Asian bands get highs let's get into it so for me personally I think it's much easier to lay shoe shoes while sit on so got the one that and the first thing I'm going to do is I'm just going to completely unless both of them [Music] so now that I've completely unlike them I'm gonna get into the fast way so the first one I'm going to show you is how to lay some recently so I'm just going to take the laces thread it through the bottom like this on the outside going inwards take the other side and then fed that through that upwards going inwards as well then before pull up I'm going to take the top of the laces these bits here to make sure they're the same length for the top like that and then just pull up and scrub this bottom lip and now they're the same them and they both fight equal on both sides so I'm just going to take the inside lace just like that and then read it through the outside and then I'm gonna keep it loose as well because your lacing them loosely so just leaving a little bit there then take any outside days and then putting it through the inside like that and then the same just keeping it loose like that and then taking the inside again I'm putting that through the outside and then the outside through the inside and then I'm just going to do the same process going all the way up until I get to this little bit here [Music] so just go in from the inside to the outside over the top just like that and then the outside go it into the inside just like that and once you get to this little bit here you have that gap in the tongue I'm gonna take the inside lace I'm gonna fight it through sometimes I don't but on bands get highest a tongue so big that it will just move around otherwise so I'm just going to take the inside lace thread it through like that keeping the legs straight and then putting the inside lace through the outside like so then taking the outside lace putting it over the top but underneath still over the top of the other lace underneath and fold the outside into the inside so it just looks like that and then I'm going to take the inside lace this is the last bit now to give them that loose look so taking the inside lace threading it through this top bit here and it's putting out and leave that bit dangling over the edge will sort out in a minute but at the meantime it's just go look like that and taking the outside and then threading that into the inside and then was going to pull all the way down and then use my thumbs on the side bits here and then pull just pull them outwards and that's how they look so you can see that their laces just hang over over the edges and now I'm going to do the exact same thing that I've done on this shoe on this ship so that's the first way and that's how to loosely lace your vans get highs now we are getting to show you what they look like on feet [Music] so before getting to show you the second way I'm going to show you another way of how to loosely lace them and that's pulling these top bits and then pulling the laces going down just to make them slightly tighter but not too much they're taking the top bits and then just loosely lacing them so getting into the second where I'm going to show you how to give them that factory look so I'm just going to unlace them and then just pull upwards tightening them up [Music] just like that but keeping their laces straight whilst I'm doing it so taking the laces and just pulling them upwards like that taking two fingers just like that I'm pinching them and then just threading this lace here underneath through the bottom through that little gap and you just pull up with the two laces just like that so it looks like that and then you can just go ahead and then loosen them off so you just have that little lace like that I do the same for the other so just unlacing them pulling them slightly tighter keeping the laces flat [Music] taking the laces like so then you just pinch them like that take the laces and then you just poke the laces from underneath so you have that gap there and then you can just pull the laces up like that so this is the factory lace look now I'm going to show you what they look like on feet [Music] so if we further find a way I'm just going to give it that skater look so I'm just going to take the laces out then pull up kind of tight but not too tight on the strangle your feet but just pulling up tightly like so and then for this wait I'm going to lace it all the way up to the top so I'm going to take the laces out here because we dig up underneath and you want to go over the top so just take the inside lace thread that through the outside and then keeping the laces flat and then the outside lace threading that through the inside and I'm going to take the inside lace thread that underneath off then over the top just like so then pull and then take the outside lace thread it underneath also and then pull and then I'm just going to take the laces I just lace them up and now I'm going to double knot them also [Music] say look just like that and I like the common scatter way of wearing them I do the same for the other one now also sailors just pulling the laces tight keeping those flat whilst doing sir so this is the third and final style pasty the loose looks my favorite especially little train a review tonight or sneaker review if you will this is just covering the Vans skate high a really classic silhouette and one that I've featured on the channel many many years ago these guys here by never did a follow up so we're going through a level overview of the boot talk about how they wear and also why I selected them okay so well you probably all know the Vans skate high that's a Heinz Hopf root very great plus six of the lesser yeah and whilst you're probably in Florida channel you'll know that I'm more from find in a desert of a boot heritage boots Red Wings are things things that go well with denim we are coming into the saw months and I think I like to go for something a little bit lighter boots aren't good all year round even here in the UK so this is one of the shoes I prefer to use and really just for affordability comfort and also just that's a classics of heritage skate americana look ready so the skate high is one of this our all-time famous shapes from fans one of the things silhouettes and it takes his history back to 1977 a slightly strange in a way because this was their flagship shoe in their fiftieth anniversary celebrations and actually it hasn't been around 50 years it's it came along with good 10 years into the existence of vans but this came into existence in 1977 it previously been or it came into existence as the style 38 it got its skate high name when it was released in 1995 but initially it was a response to this of skate market and the need for an ankle protection at time that's what the skaters were demanding and that's what they sort of filled the gap in the market for I'm already skate I did have a midlife crisis recently in bought skateboard but these are purely fashion shoes for me comfort and the ability just to look good with shorts or nice tapered or cuffed demin really I just think it really looks good one of the things I like about it when wearing it with denim is just having this angle collar or he helps fill the cuff and just allows just a little bit more stacking and Vista laser genes to hang out a little bit more nicely in my opinion so about these and well coming for some details and shade and so how they actually look in the details of the construction but there I would say they comfortable very minimalist design I do like the toes here nice wide toe box they don't have a toe cap there's a lot of the trainers of this style half the converse chucks and also a training that I've really enjoyed recently is the here flyer it can I've done this on the channel haven't done a follow up but we really nicely constructed shoe actually and once it's got a lot more going on inside it's got a nice New Balance fresh foam insole and the natural soles are much more robust I did find this Cotto cap they'll be restrictive and kill needs a bit of rubbing but maybe that's next enter a width for my feet or so but these are a great shoe actually not very recognized over here in the UK but I did pick these up as sale because those are being discontinued over here and very pleased another American classic there but go back to the vans yeah Frank minimus construction nicely breathable so you've got a suede toe cap here are some holes and find that really allows for you a nice comfortable breathable shoe the sole very gummy very like wearing if we definitely once not had for a few years here it really didn't take a lots of ways really you can just see as I sort of push my finger in there these are very very lightweight so when you walk in these I don't offer a lot of padding you can really sort of feel the stones and well basically anything you stand on you can feel a degree all that comes from escape heritage the gummy sulfur gripping gripping the deck and also there's a tactile response by having a thinner sole I think that's what was needed and one thing back are they I think that's changed in the past decades but I think it's come around full circle and skaters are tending to wear lightweight shoes again yeah so very simple construction will come in and take a look at the details of minute but what would say is that the the suede is incredibly lightweight and has torn up here in need so he hasn't gone through tiny the sock but he's got this inner liner there and also sometimes you get the sweet pulling away from the outer sole here but you know these are so cheap never need to be paid full price full price isn't too expensive sixty-five pounds but I picked these up in the sale so over sort of 30 percent off and gone 40 pounds or and I've been that's actually but yeah certainly something I like to having a wardrobe and for the summer months I think it looks fantastic with denim or indeed shorts for a few close-ups here probably very from any of this boots but just to show you how it's all put together there's a suede forefoot where you need it suede running up the sides here with the lacing nice stitch detail with a few holes and they're just ER and I chose to breathe a little bit and all the canvas of a sort of synthetic so never clever logo there and then you've got the suede up the rear of the ankle there my stitching detail with a little bit of padding there it's old-school skate protection I thought that was about fairies of classics of converse style gum sole construction so it's sort of a very tacky and soft come sole with these sort of bands of rubber wrap later a loom there's nice videos on on the internet that show you how to put to put together can even see where it's overlap there and then the logos of ideas on top of that very simple tongue construction or show you'll be unlaced model where the tongue is a fabric with a little bit of rudimentary padding at the center and a little tab just to secure it with your laces if you want to keep that sort of central and true inside synthetics of plastic never clever lonely at the back there very basic insole the same minimal padding you feel a lot of drawing these are all perfectly serviceable and you aligned with the styling and design of a timer a note this simple notes different converses just showing you the warning puppies for years probably so three or four years not worn them very regularly the soles do wear though and incredibly quickly but they are very cheap to replace you know they'll give you a season they'll give you a year if you wear them regularly yeah very soft so there's been some slight tearing to be swayed on tozer seems to be a sort of a classic failure location so either the the edging of the sole peels away and cracks on the sole or the leather tears away it's just very very sort of soft lightweight fabrics but I'm not upset by that if you watch other reviews I'm quite critical of boots when they don't last but the price point for the nature of these I think they last reasonably well so yeah that's your skate hi brings us the end of the video I hope that was useful and there's a little follow up on me yeah the ones I've reviewed many years ago was of some assistance so afford life review if you will and fantastic shoes and say look great with denim great for the summer that's very breathable and lightweight and I think they've just got that classic sort of skate heritage Americana so look and yeah so y'all we're I think for a long time so from here I just think it's good to have in the wardrobe one thing I did say earlier on about the very soft soles and the lack of support on the foot or lack of cushioning rather fans have just introduced a product called comfy couch is slightly ball premium it's probably four to five or 10 pounds more but that does offer a bit more padding in the sole for comfort and they do feature in this silhouette as well ok well that pretty vines of the vines here there's a book version of the vines and they're black with white ER and I'll show you in a second but the box says vines off the wall all damn I need to lay speed myself this is advanced here I need to lace them up because I don't even know how to lace the way you do advanced or black this part here Lalor inside here white they're quite there and they're pretty nice okay guys before a length of and I'm going to show you guys a life hack on how you can actually waterproof your vines it's pretty cool men take a laser linear cut the label off okay alright here's what you need a waterproof some in vines okay you have a suede part here and you have this fabric part there's two different methods for flat for waterproofing fabric on two different parts so make sure you how to use a normal fabric first and then I'm going to waterproof the actual weight apart so we're going to start off with a fine record you're going to need is a candle I have here a tea light candle they are using what you do is you take the candle and you just sort of rub it on the fabric until it gets all white just like this okay now you want to get to the part where you can't reach in the corners what you do is you take your candle get a nice shop it you can take one of the pieces that's broken off and just rub this and around the corners because there's a point on it get a good layer of wax on your shoes I'm going to do here as well we're the actual session is on the layer so that's also waterproof and I'm going to go ahead and do the rest of the shoe [Music] okay so whenever you go through wax completely Rome endless you it's going to be able to white color it's not going to look bad like there's nothing to shoes meant to look what you want to do is make us who's to wax stains in the fabric so we're going to do is we're going to melt the wax using a hairdryer right here I've got to melt the wax and the leather shoes and it will melt between the fabric and it will keep the water first as I like blue that's night on the shoe you'll see it starting to disappear and melt in the fabric as you can see it doesn't look like anything no waxes or anything it's just melted end of the fabric now this will be waterproof or the other side knife look how quickly it just melts make sure your hair dries on the highest set in the heat [Applause] glass about what you want to do is let the wax is melted and dry and it will hard if you want then you can do another layer of wax but I want to keep one because I'm not going to wear these much in the rain so we're not going to sway partly shoes you can get a spray for suede and the guy in the shop that offered but I just think I have some my high school thought I had someone do those things turns out it ends so initiative all the life hack if you don't have any waterproof spray what you can use to make it waterproof hairspray literally hairspray this works because when you spray this on your hair it creates like a creates like oh I don't use hairspray by the way it's time to slander owner your SI unit but I left my hair all weird so I had these it makes like a water for sort of shields don't spray it through close to the face just spread far away and like short bursts once you got the hairspray on the shoes I know it's like a weird putting hairspray on through but it actually does waterproof the suede part to put the wax on the suede part I believe it it will crush the wax it will crush the wax it will crush the suede and it won't come the same effect then it won't be as cool looking it'll be like Kirschstein with wax it don't put wax on the suede go wax in the fiber and put hairspray on the suede and you should be pretty good to go go away this dries I'm gonna lay some off before legs on though I just want to see I seen the Bottomley trees I don't like oh yeah these trees must be for skateboarding and then looking sight the shoe and it says the world's number one skateboard shoot water and then it's very important to stay hydrated because I doing this article online it was true or not but it's it on dehydration can lead to you becoming fat and such it's like one of the leading causes psychosis blues and stuff so just keep yourself hydrated keep all the water on you you won't get a psych again so I'll leave the article in the description if you guys wanna check it I bought your diet is like trying to stop drinking water and survivin forever there is matching sugars you can get from fruit and vegetables and whatever you can get I mean an orange right night this is a little I tagged three days if you don't know if you eat oranges and you hold it on up to the light you can see through the orange let me know if you do this because this is something I've always done I've never seen anyone do it before it looks pretty weird if you're in public you like hold up an orange slice or the light but I just checked the tip that I see Dennis so I don't choke on a serum eat
