hey what's up guys today we're gonna take a look at the swagger 5 my swag Tron and basically it's a rebranded xiaomi m3 65 so it's gonna take it for a spin and see how it rolls [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys so that was a swag Tron swagger 5 so I actually originally bought the swag Tron swagger which was the first electric scooter model that they released it was a carbon fiber body a little bit kind of like more like a felt more of like a kid's toy than in this version so what this is like I mentioned before is that it's a rebranded Xiaomi m3 65 electric scooter and so that scooter is what you find in San Francisco and a couple other cities that are introducing the East scooter sharing so I wanted to get something that was a little bit robust like those and so I returned the original Swagger and I got this sweat the swagger five yeah it's a I've never actually tried the Xiaomi but I pretty sure it's exactly how its described and the the reviews that I've seen online it rides pretty much the same there's a couple of different cosmetic differences that I could point it out to you guys so basically this display right here it's um it's a little bit different than the than the Xiaomi I think it's a little more rounder here and just like a different just a different design also here which is the the folding latch usually has a bell on the xiaomi but the bell is actually located right here on the hand brake throttle is pretty much the same and then you can actually pair this with your with the swagger 5 app on your phone and you can control some of the properties you could change it to there's only 3 gears 1 2 and 3 so I write it on number 3 and it's basically rated to go up to 18 miles per hour you're going downhill I've hit like 20 20 miles per hour also depends on your weight if it holds up to about 20 220 pounds so I'm a lightweight so I go you know faster on this it also has a headlight over here let me see if I could turn that on so if I turn that on it turns on this headlight and also this taillight back here so this taillight turns on when you hit that and it flashes [Music] so a couple other cool design things I will start from the stem here one thing that I don't really like too much is the branding so you see this big swagger 5 you know I'm not really if you know me I'm not really into like big logos and things like that so also you know the term swag is just like it's kind of like a jokey term it's like no one really uses it in a serious way so it's kind of kind of weird the tires are inflatable so you can actually inflate them with a bike with a bike pump and the motor is actually inside so it's a hub wheel so it's a hub motor so the motor rests in here and then this undercarriage is basically where the battery is held so this is where all this is where the battery and I think that some of the electronics are the top here so the top is pretty cool it's not like standard skateboard grip tape or anything it's actually like a rubberized mat so that's really helpful back here is the rear wheel and you come around this way you'll see that it has disc brakes so the disc brake is really really really nice it's really smooth in addition to like a physical break it also cuts off the power to the motor so it's it feels really smooth really comfortable and then you have your kickstand here as far as like transportation it holds down show this stem folds down you unlock it you bring it down like so so I'm not exactly sure how heavy this is it feels like it's like 20 20 pounds or so maybe a little more it's not something that you can really just carry for long periods of time but just to get up and down the stairs it's pretty easy yeah so that's that's pretty much my first impression there's a lot of more robust reviews about this but um I actually bought the swagger 5 in the swag Tron website for 379 and that's with a coupon code that's kind of what attracted me to this scooter you go on Amazon or some other sites like gearbest you see the Xiaomi and m3 65 for about $500 sometimes more so swag Tron's rebranded version of it is way cheaper you know almost a hundred 120 dollars cheaper and it shipped right away I'm also I'm in Michigan and they ship from I think Indiana or maybe Illinois one of those but it was close enough that I got it like two days so if you're in the Midwest you'll get this like really quick one thing one thing to note is that it doesn't come with battery sorry it doesn't come with a tire extender for the front wheel so you need to purchase one of those I know this yummy has one also the swag trying to app is not as robust as the Xiaomi doesn't look as sophisticated it's kind of like it just looks I don't know the user interfaces aren't really that exciting another big thing kind of design flaw almost is that if you look on this side the charging port I had a cover for this but it probably fell off somewhere but it doesn't actually latch on anything so your your charging port is exposed to the elements so I have to find some sort of it's not something to put over here to like a cap that could screw on but that's something that I think the Xiaomi has an advantage over because it actually has like a rubberized cap on it outside of that everything is pretty solid you guys have any questions or comments about the swagger 5 hit me up bread playback calm yeah

well you know what let's go ahead and unbox this so slacked on swagger at five is a folding electric scooter I actually was interested that in it for a long time now but they got it in stock and they agreed on sending me one and smacked Ron is I believe an established brand by now oh I like the color scheme [Music] smacked on swagger swagger has five yeah I really like the color scheme to be frank with you let's stay with me yes oh my god yes so it folds in four steps turn the color counterclockwise subtly tada this is what it looks like and folds like that hey did that camera so Oh there's actually a water bottle here as well there is an iphone fold right Oh iPhone mount phone log is actually in here that's awesome umm this video might be a bit dark by now let me help you with that mm boom Oh No okay sorry about the darkness of the video I'll try to fix it in the Edit Oh have you seen the view about the way this is the one building and you have the Empire State Building here and I will roam around beautiful New York City with this amazing ride um hashtag right beyond okay that's what I'm gonna use on my Instagram uh let's see what it looks like on the other side oh there's an app the max speed is apparently 18 kilometers per hour and the maximum range is 18 miles whoa dot and the maximum rider weight is 320 pounds that is amazing and a thingy itself the scooter itself is 26 pounds in kilos that's a lot of kilos thing do I need to be frank with you I think it's harder forty hundred fifty kilos and that I read on the twenty six pounds is about 1213 kilos and the max feed number is I believe 25 26 and similar thing applies in kilometres for the range I mean if this thing can give me a 250 pounds guy ten miles range which is what fifteen kilometres that's actually amazing apparently there is there are three speed modes there's cruise control which is so nice to have it's eco-friendly there's strict tracking I will download the app as soon as I unbox this and of course it's a Bluetooth connection I'm curious about how much like setup does this thing require let's go ahead and unbox it sorry yes there's a GoPro attached to my chest I know it looks weird but I think it gives you a nice first-person idea of how this thing works oh yeah it's like a new car let's see what do we have here give me the charger yes oh that's an interesting charger yeah the charging brick is here where's the other side oh yeah there's no second cable which is amazing you just plug this board and this board to the scooter somewhere this is key I'm gonna keep it here boom we have some extras yeah right Oh comes out warning there are some warnings here but these look like that handles warning during assembly remove the tape may cause the end cap to shift fail reinsert the end cap tada tada okay so I'll make sure oh yeah miss this yeah this is what happens basically so I need to put it back in place remove it I'm sure this is against all sorts of vibration thingy because this kind of handles they have similar handles on my T on run electric scooter too and of course this is a higher-quality thing that's why there's the ring that's what oh this is the left side this is the right side basically it says there's an L here and that refers to lift by the way I'm just doing this on it's not like I read the manual or anything I think the right course affection for everyone is to read the manual but this was rather simple for the moment and this goes obviously here I mean I will not finalize the setup but I will do as much as I can yeah oh oh let me show you from here yeah this is going to be the LCD panel I think it looks gorgeous that's the phone month [Music] there's all sorts of white stuff around oh that's no good I will end up cleaning all that let's take this out and I think the scooter is almost ready to go slide it out yes yes I mean I can see why it can bear three hundred and twenty kilos because this thing is serious I mean this is one of the no if not the most solid one but it's one of the most durable looking good quality like scooters have ever found box and of course having the brakes isn't an advantage for beginners I don't use the well never needed it because it is like whoa where are you heading buddy okay yeah I never needed the brakes because I never had them - but the tire size is also impressive here like if I can compare it with the other scooters or electric rides that I have this is actually pretty pretty big warning please read carefully before unlocking your scooter of course not I don't read things I'm here to read not to read how does this work yeah oh this was it well I'll definitely read it before the ride but for the moment I think it's enough let's see what else do we have in the box Oh what is this oh yeah oh yeah this is important to put some pressure on your tires an extension cable is a really good idea then it makes the life a lot easier I had the extension cable for I think for the in motion one but it works good as well so it was possible to do or put air in my tires without it but win it of course it's a lot easier what else do we have here I think this is the bottle holder I don't need the bottle holder I like I always roam around with a I'm curious about the iPhone mount but all right well cell phone mount but I never used the bottle thingy I'm always roaming around with my small men purse that's why I never needed it all right I will read the manual I will get this ready and I will shoot an amazing review video but I think this will be all for the unboxing I'll just show you around the scooter a little bit [Music] don't forget to subscribe so you get to see what I'm doing the next the full review will be ready in a week or two tops alright thank you very much see you next time ciao [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

[Music] hey everybody it's Kevin with online shopping my way just want to make a quick little video and also show some footage of me riding around and kind of close up of the swag Tron swagger five high-speed electric scooter I'm actually pretty impressed with it it looks good I'll just tell you right up front the reason I decided to go with this with this scooter was because of all the videos that I saw online with people who had already you know bought it I felt really comfortable knowing how to address even some issues that it may have everyone doesn't but every now and then you run into something I was able to just look up videos and find anything I needed which was made me feel good because there's a lot of scooters online and you know they all look good there's stock photos and stuff like that but it doesn't really tell you anything after you get it you just have to kind of like go through whatever issues you got so if I'm gonna have any kind of issues at all I want to know that I can find other users online so anyway that's the reason why I went with the swag Tron swag or five scooter I'm gonna go through some basic things that I think are ideal that you guys are probably gonna like you know absolutely feel free to check out the link below to it you can check it out right there on Amazon links below and also actually click the belt and like this video if you guys have any questions feel free to hit me back you know I answered pretty quickly within 24 hours sometimes in the same hour but anyway I'd love to share my experience with it and update you know as things come along but anyway right off the top one of the other things that was really attractive was eight point five inch cushioned tires that's extremely important if you've ever ridden a scooter your feet can get really tired and you kind of feel in your legs and stuff after a while after a few miles you know it's fun and everything but after a while you got to have a level of comfort in there the fact that it's got cushioned tires the front one is actually a pneumatic tire so you can put air in there they recommend about 20 28 psi in there just so that it's like you know it's hard enough to be able to make sure you can feel and grip the road but at the same time it helps a cushion those bumps okay but anyway the the tires the fact that they're larger than a lot of scooters that was extremely attractive it's got cruise control it's got its own handbrake really easy you can actually engage the handbrake really great way to be able to stop it's right there on the handlebar super easy it's got its own belt you know if you're coming up on somebody you can make sure that you're coming with little belts actually yeah it's it's legit so it's got a phone mount that's already on it just comes with a package which is great you can pop your phone up there and the reason that's really important is because it actually has its own app you can go to the App Store Android or iOS and you can download the app and you can control I caught all kinds of stuff as you're writing which is really cool nighttime daytime doesn't matter but I'll get to that a little bit but anyway it's got a phone mount the LED is actually integrated right into the handlebars so it's not like this thing that's popping up off of your your handlebars it's actually integrated on the handlebar it looks great and really pops at night by the way of course it's got headlights and taillights and even a brake light so when you brake the tail light will light up much brighter so that people behind you can see that you're trying to stop that's kind of important depending on where you're riding especially it's got its own kickstand works really great and actually keeps it like kind of straight up almost you know it's not like leaning almost to the side and then falls over a lot of kickstands aren't really that aren't that functional but this one works great for it it's actually got ABS brake and ebrake rather in the front and abs e brake on the front tire the cushion one that actually takes two pneumatic air the back one is just a solid rubber tire and does not require air so that's good so in the back it's just a basic disc disc brake which again is better than a lot of scooters again I mean it's it's there's a reason I got this like they thought of a lot of stats does it go it's advertised at like 18 18 miles per hour is what it says but disclaimer you know I mean I probably weigh anywhere between 180 and 190 maybe 191 somewhere in there and I'm not kidding 18 miles per hour okay so it's probably gonna range max out maybe anywhere from 15 16 miles an hour and that's with me kind of my build so if you're a little heavier you might you might lag down 12 13 but that's still pretty good you know for you know just dragging you along it does a pretty good job so anyway up to 18 miles an hour but I'm getting you know around 15 something like that the motors I think it's sufficient I think the motors sufficient it's got a 250 watt motor with a 36 volt lithium-ion battery which is amazing because with a lot of things when you try to recharge them they only have like a few lives when I say a few I mean like 500 charge lives which is not cool because I mean you could hit that easily in like a year if you use it every day and then you're spending money on batteries so lithium-ion is where it's at also in addition to that you can you can access the app itself so that you can do you know whatever you need to while you're actually on on the scooter so you can turn your lights on and off you can access GPS tracking so that you can you know have it's basically pinging you when you're when you're driving so you can track where you been that kind of thing as well I don't know if that's shareable with somebody else for safety if you need that or not I haven't really looked into that but I thought it was pretty cool that you can have a GPS tracking and you can set your preferences when you're in there so you can enable cruise control or turn it off if you don't want it but cruise control is pretty simple you sit there and you hold the throttle where you want it for five seconds and it automatically engages you don't really have to do anything and there's actually three different speed levels of course 1 2 3 when you're on one you're probably going to do about 5 miles an hour so you're just kind of trucking along pretty easy number 2 and number 3 will get you up closer to that 18 miles an hour you know advertisement I think you got to be a little kid when like you know 60 80 pounds or something for that to happen but either way there's three different levels and you can actually engage a push start off or an automatic Start option where you just pull the throttle and it pulls you away or you can kick and once it gets up to I don't know maybe three miles an hour the motor actually kicks in personally just you know from a mechanical perspective I'd prefer that kick start because if it's already moving it's going to be less stressful on that engine so I personally just enable the kick start and I give it a couple of kicks and then it automatically is able to go the engine will kick in but that's just to help protect the motor and it you don't necessarily have to do that so oh yeah I mean the things I like about it it's portable that's pretty straight up that's one of the reasons I got it I want to be able to throw it in my car this is my car I got the little you can probably see it back here yeah so you can kind of see the seat back over my shoulder I've got it folded up in the back seat and I've got my cover for the dogs in the back so that's always in here it's real easy I just don't on there or I can just throw in the back hatch area of the car it's a real easy to carry around it weighs in at 27.5 pounds which is great and it's got a tubular bar on it for the handlebars which is actually economically reasonable for your hands so if it were like square or something like that it'd probably dig into your fingers of your hand a little bit if you're carrying it a little bit but it's it's tubular so it's pretty comfortable to be able to carry around and only twenty-seven and a half pounds and it's all aluminum alloy frame which is great so there's not a bunch of extra weight pretty lightweight there the range as advertised is around 11 miles I wouldn't necessarily bet on that maybe eight to nine miles is what I would give it and it's because you're likely going to be changing between levels 1 2 & 3 there may be some inclines you know when you go up and in climb it's any more than around 15 degrees you notice there's a noticeable slowdown I would I would budget if you're traveling I want to make sure you have enough battery life just budget for 8 to 9 miles you should be fine ok it's got its own trip odometer on the app as well so every time you go on a trip it can reset so you know how long you how long your trip was and that's really good for it's like you know you're trying to say hey look if I charge my battery last night and I've got three places to go is that gonna fit in that eight to nine nine mile range so that trip odometer is ideal to make sure that you know where your destinations are how far their destinations are she engaged at charge time is actually pretty short three and a half hours I mean by time you sit down and eat you know do whatever you got to do a couple chores or whatever she's ready to go so that's nice right on the handle bar your LED display not necessarily in the app but just right on the handlebars it's gonna show you know your battery level it's gonna have a speedometer so as you're moving it will tell you how many miles per hour you're doing or again you can actually switch to metrics if that's what you'd prefer and then it also has a little indicator for the Bluetooth to let you know when you're actually connected to the app so it's tracking and you can turn your lights on and off there just by tapping twice just to quick types will turn it on to quick taps will turn it off and of course your power button is on there as well so but anyway let's get to what it looks like I think it's pretty cool favorite part see you in about sixty miles an hour right now and headed to a decline so my guess is I'll approach around eighteen by the time I'm at the bottom of the hill still sixteen point two miles per hour let's see there 17 miles an hour and all right slowing down around this corner hop up on the sidewalk doing 10 11 12 13 so we're gonna go up the street this time probably do a little less see how fast we can get moving 14 fifteen yeah about 15 miles an hour hey Dylan so one more thing I want to address with this tire because you do have to inflate it it does not come inflated right out of the box so I went ahead and grabbed a package of these guys I don't think it matters what brand you have but they are valve extensions so I got the metal ones because they have metal and salt which by the way I kind of appreciate even their cap isn't cheap and plastic for the vote for the valve stem it's actually it's metal so it looks pretty good so I went ahead and went with metal valve extensions and you but anyway what you want to do is take this valve extension and this end you can see will go right on here and the other end is where the the pressure goes in the tire pressure so this is actually depressed and the air is actually able to flow through there but this little stem is way too short for just about any you know even this basic pump that I've got here from the store for my bike I cannot fill this tire so make sure you invest in one of these just maybe cost me five dollars and some change for these metal ones it's an auto store and they have plastic plastic ones I'm not a big fan of they were like a dollar and some change so whatever your preference is I just don't want cheap ones so but anyway I'm gonna go ahead and put this on so go and screw this on the valve stem just like you would you know the cap and then this end it's gonna go right on just take this and put it on just like you would normally don't and then close that uh close that valve off and then we can do anything pump all right and then when you're ready when you're ready to take it off just unscrew it put the cap back on and you're good to go so I like my tires a little bit firm if they are firm you'll feel a little bit more the road which is fine for me I prefer to feel the road I don't like a soft ride thanks for watching guys again if you have not please click the like button and if you have any questions hit me in comments below I'm happy to get back with you alright thanks [Music]

how's it goin everyone virtually Chris here in today's video we're gonna be taking a look at the swag Tron swagger 5 electric scooter and seeing how it performs including its range its top speed and its hill climbing abilities and following that we're going to be talking about the difference between buying a scooter such as this versus going with something like bird or lime in your local city so with that out of the way let's unbox the scooter [Music] in the box you get a 1.5 amp power charger as well as a phone mount you can attach to the scooter it also comes with a user manual and a bunch of little tools to make inflating the tire easier the scooter itself is very high quality and on the handlebars you'll get the accelerator a nice LED screen that shows how fast you're going as well as how much battery you have left a bell and a physical disc brake this scooter also has a front the headlight if you double tap the power button and when you brake the rear tail light glows it's time to go on our first ride [Music] the swagger 5 has a range of around 11 miles according to the website so throughout this video we're gonna be checking that out and seeing how that is in my personal experience [Music] we're gonna go ahead and do a top speed test now and this electric scooter claims to have a top speed of around 18 miles an hour now keep in mind the battery is that around half now so the power would be a little bit less aggressive but let's go ahead and find out how fast we can get this thing to go [Music] [Music] so during the top speed test I was hovering around sixteen miles an hour it went a little bit above a little bit below but overall averaging roughly around 16 mile an hour top speed for me personally and the nice thing is even though that is relatively fast on something like this just the fact that it's a scooter has that stability has those handlebars so it's really easy to turn a lot very quickly so it's really fun to be just kind of turning around corners and stuff very nice something very different than I'm used to I'm used to reviewing Electric skateboards with those once you hit a certain speed you'll start to get a little wobbly but on something like this you know the wheels are giant you're just cruising along and it does feel really nice alright let's go ahead and do a hillclimb test on the swag Tron swagger 5 we got a nice little hill over here we'll see how well does getting up it the hillclimb test went pretty well all things considered I hovered around 6.6 miles per hour with a peak of around 10 so overall I handled the hill very well I have tried it on hills with a little bit bigger slope than this like some of the steepest hills in Burlington and this device will not make it up those hills unfortunately but it is only a single hub motor device so I don't expect it to anyway coming down a hill is also pretty interesting on this electric scooter because it doesn't have any electronic assisted braking at all this uses a disc brake similar to a more like a bike so you do get that effect where you hit the brake and you kind of do get a jolt forward since it's activating a physical disc it's gonna slow you down quite a bit very abruptly but once you get used to that it's actually not too bad I've definitely prefer a disc brake to something electronic that can give out at high speeds or anything like that so this makes this device very safe the swagger five ended up going 8.6 one miles on a charge and that's going through a diverse area of stuff you know we did some hillclimb tests today we did the speed test and I have been running this thing at max the entire time for the last mile or so it's been progressively getting a little bit slower on the accelerator so I was hovering around 11 miles an hour at some point heading down to around 10 and then when I was at around 8 miles an hour the electric scooter stopped completely as you'd expect you know once it gets below a certain voltage he can't expect it to keep pushing or anything like that but I was very happy with the range I mean it's almost as advertised obviously I was running it hard the whole time this is also what would happen if you ran it hard on your swagger 5 - so I'd imagine you could get 11 if you went more conservatively with the accelerator also if you didn't go top speed - the entire time concluding thoughts on the scooter is I think it is a really reliable way to get around town I do love the swagger 5 I think it has really excellent build quality and overall a really good compromise to get all these different specifications for three hundred and fifty dollars I think that's a great deal earlier in this video I also said I'd be comparing the price of the swagger 5 to the price of renting a lima bird every day example one is someone who uses bird quite a bit let's say the user to get to and from work and also to a restaurant a bath each day so that would be 45 minutes of total riding at 20 cents per minute let's go up from the standard because it can be 15 cents per minute but in some cities is actually more expensive for this total day it would be $13 per day so if this person did this every single day in just 27 days they'd have enough money to buy a swagger 5 which is insane because having your own electric scooter is so much better than renting one and using some other old one that has been used for thousands of miles or something like that let's do a more conservative example let's say you only use bird to ride to and from work every day and it has a total time of 30 minutes let's also say that you're using the low end of 15 cents per minute this equates to six and a half dollars per day which on the surface doesn't sound like too much but multiply that out and just under two months you could afford a swagger five so in 54 days you've already spent three hundred and fifty plus dollars on bird so looking at it from this angle I think it's pretty clear that owning your own electric scooter makes a lot of sense makes a lot of economic sense and because after that month you're just saving money or after two months if you're a little more conservative with your use of lime or bird but that being said thank you so much for watching if you enjoyed be sure to leave a like it really helps up the channel I'll see you all in the next video bye [Music]

hello everyone and welcome to my channel today we're going to talk about swag trance swagger 5 electric scooter [Music] [Music] so swagger five is currently their top-of-the-line electric scooter and it borrows many of the design elements from the super popular Xiaomi m3 65 this design is also the one used mostly by those scooter rental companies like birdlime whatever this is one of the main designs so I believe it's safe to assume that it's durable and reliable okay since we are already hyped up about it let's talk about what I like about the scooter first of all we already mentioned the value this scooter offers the best value on the market because this is a familiar design every element is familiar say you're gonna need a spare terra de terre da everything will be readily available for you even though this is an offering from smack Tron though similar design elements help you find like a repair shop and everything like this is something that people are familiar with whereas if you go for a electric right startup you know that there might be some difficult things and usually smaller companies can't reach this price level so you are also safe on that front [Music] okay let's focus on the other positives here one of the greatest things about this scooter is that it comes with an app the app logs like swagger app I believe swagger app logs your trips that's a fantastic thing because you want to know how many miles you covered you want to know from which point to other point you went and it also is good when you're trying to optimize your way to work or your way to your bus stop and in general it's fun to share those things on Instagram at least I did that a couple of times on a more practical point of view this app actually offers a better indicator of your remaining battery life because the onboard indicator is great it gives you a rough estimate but according my experience at least the app has been a lot more precise than the on screen thingy and it's also five levels whereas the app gives you like remaining mileage information thoroughly Tarara even though those are dependent on many conditions like the wind the inclination thoroughly Terada but still I think this is doing a great job another good thing about this is that the folding mechanism the folding mechanism is almost foolproof guys like you just collapse it there's an easy latch and once it's collapsed it's very solid and you understand like it's say you borrow you let someone borrow your scooter you know that they're not going to suffer once again this is a very important thing because if especially you're making your electric scooter part of your commute you're gonna need to put it up and down like fold it and unfold it so and those times having an easy folding mechanism is always a blessing because there are some other more expensive brands out there with very tricky folding mechanisms another good thing about this scooter is that it actually comes with a phone mount on a bottle holder I mean it's good to stay hydrated so you can put your water bottle there and usually say you're using the app or you want to be alert about who's calling you or not by the way do not take calls on your electric scooter it's stupid I did that my arms Hertz so as I mentioned earlier the phone mount and the battery holder are coming in the package and this is a great deal again these things are useful and also you may end up paying almost 50 bucks in other brands if you want even the phone mount some brands don't even offer the bottle holder um another positive note about it is that there is a headlights there are some electric scooters out there without the headlight my kind of favorite ride these days does not offer it but I use my phone in any case having it readily available there and not draining your phone's battery is a great advantage and I would totally recommend having or buying something with a front light um I think this is a good rip up of the positive things about it so let's start with the negatives and please take everything I say with a grain of salt because I'm a big guy some of the things that I went through may not be reflected into your experience like I'm big I was driving it around I even wrote it on cobblestone but there are some things that will not be fully transferable to your experience but there are some things that I unfortunately think will be also the case with you so without further delay let's jump in and talk about the negatives the first negative aspect for me is that the mortar 250 watt motor is not enough because at its current stage it can't even climb two degrees like it's only on flat surface and it loses power very very fast when I need to climb something so I think 350 watts motor would be a better choice with this body even though it's not crazy bulky it's still a bulky design it's also robusta but still I think for this buddy and especially if it needs to carry a weight of this size it needs to have a more powerful engine and I think this is the reason why swagger 5 did not become my daily driver is that the steering column is a bit angled I don't know if I'll be able to show it to you during b-roll but that angle is super annoying to me again it takes some getting used to for everyone and please do not forget the is a very popular design but this angle thing bugs me maybe it's because I'm six one that I already have some delay when it comes to passing my commands and because of that weird angle I even lose further control I'm again this is a minor gripe we're talking about 1012 degree angle there but still it was something that I felt and I thought it would be a good idea to share it with you so if you are say used to a regular kick scooter it's not going to be the same because there is sort of an angle there that kind of bugged me I mean I can give you my opinion that it is not something that that will bug you in the long term but definitely in your first week or two you will notice it I am gonna put the ground clearance in the negative things because even though higher ground clearance and larger wheels gives you a softer ride in my case it was a bit off-putting like it was a bit too high I can't recall there exactly wheel size now but it's really nice and it adds a lot of comfort to your ride especially because there is no extra suspensions on this design it's really useful that you have larger wheels but it puts me off because my rule is that especially if I am you know cruising within the city I would like to have the comfort of just jumping up off the scooter in case of an emergency or having this ease of mind that I can jump off because you know lower you are to the ground you can get better torque but because it's higher I think that's why two hundred and fifty watts motor is also suffering so maybe a little smaller wheels would have helped with the design but again these are minor gripes and if you're not as heavy as I am or not as cautious as I am when it comes to keeping your balance on the scooter these may not be a problem for you but it was for me and I'm sharing it with you let's talk about the comfort level the comfort level is pretty good for a scooter without any suspension but I would put it on average because it compensates with the large wheel size and everything but the comfort usually is better when there are suspensions but again it is almost like those suspensions are there so I'm glad that they did not add the suspensions there because it would add another bulk to this buddy I wouldn't be happy about that design choice but still I am kind of looking for a better comfort especially if you're gonna drive it for long distances but with that being said I also managed to drive this on cobblestone and I had serious issues with smaller tire sizes or even with suspensions it doesn't matter cobblestone was just a killer for my all-electric rides whereas this one was able to cruise again I'm not saying that it was a comfortable ride it was super bumpy obviously but at least for like what six ten feet I was able to tell rate whereas I just get off my other electric rides swagger five offers a kickstand again this should be in the positive side but that kickstand actually is Mark's maybe if you clean it properly it will not but it's a metal stand there is not proper like rubber attached at the tip so it doesn't have that smooth thing and it can even crush a wooden floor so I would ask you to be very careful when you're parking your scooter when you're parking it outside or you're just gonna live it in your garage there's no problem just do it um the packaging mileage estimate is at it too optimistic I actually got contacted by swag thrown about it and by the way since we talked about swagger on the brand which is offering swagger five I would like to thank them for providing me with this demo unit so I managed to spend enough time with it to give you this feedback video so they actually reach out to me and said that what they say on the box is even exaggerated so average consumer should assume that this will go 11 miles tops but my experience was not the case like I barely got five miles out of this again I was not just climbing but I'm a heavier guy still I think if the Box has 11 even someone at my size should be able to get like an8 whereas my mileage with this consistently was around five miles and that is so not sufficient um by the way about the long distance travel let me be super frank with you I would recommend eb-5 if you're going to make more than five miles with this thing a the battery may not last and be the comfort levels are not matching of an electric bike the foldable electric bike offering of spatula is my favorite foldable electric bike of all time and it could even be my favorite electric ride a full time especially if I'm running around the city like taking the subway is a lot easier of course the carrying is a little bit more complicated than just carrying the scooter around but again if you're covering more than five miles let's go for an electric ride whereas if you're covering just connecting the dots during your last mile solution you can just go ahead and buy this one because it's affordable it's reliable and you know that it's a robust design that will last for more than you need another an important group of mine will be the manual brake the manual brake is great you know it's here on your left side it controls the breaking but it engages a little bit later than you would think and even though there is a there is a fender in the back it doesn't serve as a brake so you can't really crush it I have broke myself assuming that it would be it's not broken it's a solid piece of metal but don't force it and it really does not add up to your braking effort so there's only one brake and it engages a little bit late and that was an issue for me I would warn anyone I let borrow my scooter that the brake is taking a little more time than they would expect normally um so let's wrap it up quickly I know that I haven't been as enthusiastic about this ride as I've been say about a B five or other electric rides I have featured and we'll probably future in the short run but this doesn't mean that it doesn't offer the great value like when I started my review it was being sold around 350 400 dollar range and for that price range there is none better like even within swag Tron's like product line there are others but they see are more toyish if you know what I mean this one could effectively be used for commuting in the morning to cover some short distances I don't know going around the neighborhood going to the supermarket or not supermarket but maybe going through a convenience store fast and quickly if you're not gonna carry that much basically as my last sentence I'm going to say that this is the best value for the box if you want to go ahead and check it out
